Tonee Harbert’s Photographs of Maine Logging on Display at USM

USM’s Glickman Family Library in Portland will host a Maine Museum of Photographic Arts exhibition, “Logging in the Maine Woods Today,” from Thursday, March 31 through Sunday, August 21 on the fifth floor of the library. The exhibition features the photographs of award-winning photographer Tonee Harbert. A free reception will be held on March 31 from 5-7 p.m. in the University Events Room of the library.  The exhibit is free and open to the public during library hours: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday; 7:45 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 7:45 a.m.- 8 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday. Susie Bock Receives USM Women & Gender Studies Award

At the recent annual Women’s History Month Banquet at the University of Southern Maine Susie Bock of Saco was presented with the 2011 Friend of USM Women & Gender Studies Award. Bock is the director of USM’s Jean Byers Sampson Center for Diversity in Maine and the head of Special Collections in USM’s Glickman Family Library.  Bock was presented the award in recognition of the support she provides to the program through her positions at USM.
