A study conducted by USM School of Nursing researchers, published in July/August 2011 issue of the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior went viral. The study found that the proximity of fast food restaurants to schools have not impact on students’ weight. A study published in the June 13 Mainebiz indicates that college students are not graduating with degrees in the fields that need employees.

Read the June 8 Portland Phoenix to learn more about Stonecoast MFA Director Annie Finch’s “Wolf Song” poems that were adapted for the stage by a new Portland theatre troupe, Poets Theater of Maine. Finch collaborated with graduate student Erica Vega on the project and Associate Professor of Theatre Assunta Kent directed, while School of Music staffer Christenia Alden-Kinne composed the music.
