Grant Brings United Arab Emirates Professors to University of Southern Maine

Two professors from the United Arab Emirates visited the University of Southern Maine November 13-17 as part of a $285,000, three-year grant awarded to USM’s Women and Gender Studies Program from Higher Education for Development. Associate Professor of Arabic Studies Nawar Al-Hassan Golley from the American University of Sharjah (AUS) and Assistant Professor of Sociology Suaad Zayed Ibrahim Al Oraimi from the United Arab Emirates University met with faculty, visited classes and were hosted at a tea in their honor.
