Save these important dates for National Entrepreneurship Week in Maine. The week kicks off on Saturday, February 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Engineering Expo taking place in the Field House, at University of Southern Maine, Gorham. The week continues through February 28, and features events for all kinds of entrepreneurs, from engineers who design and create things, to business owners who sell products or services. National Entrepreneurship Week in Maine has one goal, to support the creative efforts of entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Maine.

It is estimated that 70 percent of high school seniors want to become entrepreneurs. National Entrepreneurship Week in Maine was designed to give them the skills they will need for success. Some of the highlights of the week include a “Business Start Up” session; the “Maine Million Dollar Women’s Forum”; and Junior Achievement’s Titan Challenge high school business competitions held at USM, Portland, USM’s Lewiston Auburn College, University of Maine, and Maine Maritime Academy. More events are being planned, and will be posted at www.eweekmaine.com.
