Read Visiting Prof. Jeff Thaler two comprehensive permitting and regulatory roadmaps, Permitting and Leasing for Maine Marine Hydrokinetic (MHK) Power Projects and Permitting and Leasing for Maine Offshore Wind Energy Projects, which are aimed to help steer potential developers and interested parties through federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable for ocean energy projects for developers of offshore wind, wave and tidal projects in the Gulf of Maine.

Prof. Malick Ghachem presents paper at the International Center for Jefferson Studies in Virginia

Prof. Malick Ghachem presented a paper on the American and Haitian Declarations of independence at a conference at the International Center for Jefferson Studies in Charlottesville, VA in March.  He is organizing a panel on fraud in eighteenth-century France for the November 2013 meeting of the American Society for Legal History, to be held in Miami.

Prof. Dave Owen invited to write chapter in book on Climate Change

Prof. Lois R. Lupica’s article, Using a Randomized Control Trial To Accomplish Multiple Goals: An RCT Evaluating What Works for Individuals in Financial Distress, Investigating the Debt Collection System, Exploring Ways to Increase Access to Justice, and Bridging Clinical and Doctrinal Instruction, co-written with Dalié Jiménez, James Greiner, and Rebecca L. Sandefur, was recently accepted by The Georgetown Journal on Poverty Law & Policy.

Prof. Emeritus Orlando Delogu spoke at two separate workshops at the March 6-9 Rocky Mountain Land Use Conference in Denver, sponsored by the Denver University-Sturm College of Law. One workshop focused on basics of land use control; the other reviewed past land use mistakes.
