Sewing up class discussions with VoiceThread (InfoSavvy)

Those of you teaching online or blended courses know the value of tools that encourage interaction.  VoiceThread is one such tool.

VoiceThread allows you and your students to comment on a digital object.  You can comment on documents, images, or videos.  You can comment via text, telephone, webcam, or microphone.  Check out this example of a voice commentary on a still image (courtesy of the Franco-American Collection, University of Southern Maine).

Try out VoiceThread for yourself.  Then you can truly decide where it belongs in your particular online tool kit (or sewing kit).
