The General Education Council is a committee of the Faculty Senate, charged with responsibility for oversight of USM’s general education. The GEC reviews proposals for new curricula and oversees their assessment. The committee provides annual reports to the Senate.
GEC oversight of general education at USM is based on USM’s Vision, Goals and Outcomes .
